I cannot believe that I’m forcing myself to do this post with about an hour to get the rest of this done. A lot has been going on in my life still and I still wanted this to be done. I have another post of this blog that will be done tomorrow and I will be taking April off, not updating this blog then at all. I am hoping that blogs will return to normal soon, but am unsure of how much will return to normal in the future.
With
me wanting to look at the future and get this post done and over with, you
might want to wonder where are all the important elections? Well, as stated at
the end of this post right before the schedule, this won’t mention them all. What
I want to say for sure is that there is generally three main states with
elections in the year between the midterms and presidential elections and they
are Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Nowadays,
most of my political thoughts are in my facebook group: I’m So Glad They
Finally Passed Healthcare Reform. Be sure to check that out as it will contain
updates as often as I am able to get on facebook and keep using it even with my
limited time to do things.
The
gubernatorial elections are the main ones that I care about at first for now. In
Kentucky, the Democratic governor, Andy Beshear, is running for reelection and
I think that he should win. In Louisiana, the Democratic governor, John Bel
Edwards, is term limited. In Mississippi, the Republican governor, Tate Reeves,
is running for reelection. I don’t think that he should win.
The
attorney general elections are also important as I won’t want any of the three
incumbents to win. In Mississippi, Lynn Fitch is running for reelection. The attorney
generals of Kentucky (Daniel Cameron) and Louisiana (Jeff Landry) are both
running for governor instead of their current office. I feel that both of them
should lose those elections, be it the primaries or the general election. All of
them have their issues and I have a spiel planned for Daniel Cameron.
The
secretary of state elections are important like all of them are, but in my
brief research of who is up this year in the states that have elections, I’m
not too worried about them if any of the three Republican win renomination that
they could cause issues like the election deniers that we often have to deal
with nowadays.
Going
back to Tate Reeves, there was a scandal involving the water pressure in
Jackson, the capitol of Mississippi, and there are plenty of other problems
with this guy as well. I plan to be more timely with Act Blue donations this
year than I dumbly was last.
As
for Andy Beshear, I see a potential president in him, even though I’m not sure
that it would work for a while. He has lead by example even as the Republican
legislature prevents him from doing even more than he could.

Regarding
my vendetta against certain attorney generals, it seems that Republicans want
their own party members to die of covid since they are against common sense
measure that science agrees with and makes sense to logical people. Here’s one
problem caused by Jeff Landry.
There
isn’t too much else to say about this year’s election in this post. I know that
I care more about what happens in other states that I don’t live in as I have
yet to look up what is going on with my own state (Illinois) as I have never
really cared at all. Still, enjoy this schedule as I try to keep you informed
about life in general.
