S1E5

While I’m writing this post introducing you to each post, I’m also sharing links to all of my other blogs. My very first blog is about TV. In it, I talk about various things. It started with me writing reviews of shows on my laptop and wanting someplace to put it so I put a blog with these posts that I randomly updated at random times. Currently, I update it every Tuesday and other days too. Here’s a link to it.

If you are paying attention to the news, you will notice that Iran/US tensions are in the news. I can’t quite tell what all is going on. It may seem that one thing is going on, but maybe things are not as they seem. Remember the Maine? We thought that it was the Spanish who attacked when that ship blew up and we started a war with them under false pretenses as a result.

Now there were issues with ships and it could have been an attack by them, it could have been an accident at a bad time, or it could have been sabotage by the people on the ship to justify starting a war with Iran. After an unmanned drone was shot down, Trump sought to retaliate with a strike that could lead to over a hundred deaths. But he thought better of it. It makes you wonder about other things like this.

Trump has always been hard on immigrants since he first announced that he was running for president. He doesn’t like them, yet has used them in his jobs thus far. They even came to his rally announcing his reelection to remind people of this.

Often, Republicans keep talking about the dangers of socialism. But they never, not once, actually say what socialism is or why they think it’s a problem. They might just use it to describe anything and everything they don’t like, regardless of if something is even remotely close to it or not.

You might remember the terrible child separation policy that Trump started. If you don’t remember some of the details about that, then read here. Trump lies a lot and someone called him out on it.

Act one starts with a show being showed about a potential case. This has to be about the episode Unstoppable of SVU that never aired. In this show, the writer had put this unaired episode of the show online, or part of it at least. The ripped from the headlines story was about an allegation that Trump raped a 13 year old.

Barbara and Adrian talk to each other in the room about what to do. Maia then talks to Mike about the fake news stories about Maia. She’s there with her lawyer. We learn about the fact that Maia saw her father in prison two more times without her lawyer, according to Mike. She confesses that she looked into more of what her father had said. She is now abdicated in more wrong doing, according to her lawyer. What does it mean to abdicate? Do I have the right word? Mike wants to help her father. Well, that’s what he says, at least.

Act two has the team arguing that fair use made posting the episode online okay in some way. Diane talks to her husband when he shows up to her office. He leaves a gift of a gun with her. The episode was censored, in his mind, since the air date was pushed back over and over again then cancelled after Trump won. Nobody got any money for this. The episode was not put on as a political move, according to another witness. The judge rules that fair use does not apply at it is too long since the whole episode of the show was online.

Lucca wants to bring in a surprise lawyer. Diane talks to a person about her new firm. Lucca and Adrian go to where the lawyer is and it is that crazy red headed one. I do know that the crazy red head is a terrible stereotype and only know one real person that fits it. But enough about my ex.

Act three has Lucca talking to Elsabeth. That’s a stupid name, like the resistee. Alicia said that she’s the best lawyer to bring in. An Elsa device is there and goes off. What Elsabeth needs to is figure out what’s going on. Maia sees that her father is out of jail. He returns to see his wife, but these family gatherings remain awkward still.

Diane talks with her husband (I think that’s who it is she’s talking to) about some sort of writing that he’s doing. I’m not sure what’s going on. Adrian and Lucca decline a deal about the case and argue that there were no damages relating to it. Elsabeth sees Mike talking to someone on the phone. She talks to him. But he says something that seems like a threat.

Back in court, Lucca notices that an additional episode was ordered to make up for the one that didn’t air. There’s some guy in the background that I don’t understand. Adrian talks to the lawyer on the other side about the narrow scope of the law. Lucca talks to Colin again. He’s the man from in the background, I think. The client thinks that Adrian is like Perry Mason. Aren’t all TV lawyers in some way? More talking at the firm happens as Mr. Gross from earlier makes his visit to Diane. The lawyers think that their client should settle.

Act four has Elsabeth talking to Maia. Elsabeth thinks that her father was using her in order to get the information and implicate her in a crime. What’s a microt? I thought that’s what they call a second in Farscape. Diane kisses this man from earlier. Is this her husband? I can’t always follow this show. Elsabeth talks with Mike’s wife. They seem to have become fast friends. Mike thinks that Elsabeth snooped through his belongings. He threatens her with disbarment. She reveals that she recorded his threat when he said, “When you go after me professionally, I go after you personally.”

Act five has Adrian talking to the control of media that six corporations have. He tries to reason with the judge. Trump tweets about the case, which makes it more of a First Amendment case. Of course, this is based on the myth that cell phones are allowed in courtrooms, which they aren’t. So many plot points on TV are ruined by those who know such things about how courtrooms work. Lucca and Colin talk some before they wind up making out. They wake up in bed next.

Diane, who has done little in this episode, talks more to her husband who whoever that is about the fact that she’s looking to move soon. Will they move in together? I do not think that this is someone other than her husband. I’m confused. Diane says that a new lawyer wants to work at the firm. She wants to be a name partner. Adrian says that she should be a partner, even though they have to run it by the partnership committee first. I’m sort of glad that they didn’t focus so much on Diane, even if this is her show.

On the next episode of The Good Fight, there are more issues with the Rindall case. Neal might have joined the firm for nefarious purposes. Diane thinks that they are being set up. What will happen for sure? We’ll have to wait until next week to see. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

S1E4

I might keep track later how far these episodes were delayed from the original airing on CBS “all access” until they aired now. But I now have two shows this summer that I will be watching and blogging about. One of them is this show. The other one is the final season of Elementary. Enjoy a link to the blog here.

Act one starts with Maia in an elevator with strange people. Marissa reveals that there is a fake twitter account of Ms. Rindall. A woman talks about her eggs that she had donated that should revert back to her. Does she need to take legal action about it in some way? Adrian talks to Matthew Perry’s character whose name escapes me.

Maia uses Marissa to help track more info on this fake twitter account and it turns out that this person has real nude photos of Maia that we can’t see since this is network TV and not the streaming version. But I’m okay with that, even if Rose Leslie is an attractive actress.

Act two has Diane talking with Mike, the character that Matthew Perry is playing. Marissa tells Diane that they found no record of Laura in the system. Diane talks to the director of the current fertility clinic who was also the director of the old one. Lucca talks to another person about the eggs that are confidentially sealed for reasons that they try to figure out. Laura’s only egg that was left was already fertilized. She might need to fight something.

Maia confronts an old boyfriend over the twitter account since he took the photos of her. He had set up a bot. Meanwhile, a lawyer comes and serves Adrian, Lucca, and Diane to appear before a grand jury.

Act three has Lucca talking with Colin again. She gives him half of her burger. He says that he hasn’t had sex for nearly a year. I’ve gone 28 and counting. Colin wants to share a milkshake with her. She wants to get help from her. Diane meets in court with the codefendants who has the fertilized egg.

Marissa helped Maia with the twitter account, but then Google alerts show up that also spread lies about her. Mike then talks to Diane at the grand jury meeting. There is tenseness going on here. He says that she said something she didn’t while she said he talked about his dead son. Diane thinks that he’s trying to reduce them. What is a quid pro quo exactly? Lucca is trying to avoid a situation like that with Colin.

The trip to London that the one codefendant wants is because the procedure that needs to be done is not approved of here as it would destroy the embryo that Laura has in order to create a new one that wouldn’t have Lee’s disease. But what who owns the embryo in question?

Act four has Colin talking with Mike and another man about his cases. Maia talks to Marissa and Maia’s lawyer starts talking to Ted, Maia’s ex from earlier that I don’t know the name of. Maia’s lawyer says that there’s not much they can do legally, only fake news starts coming up with him based on what Marissa and Maia make up. They agree to drop each other’s news articles. Adrian agrees to help Maia since they look out for each other. Meanwhile, Laura and Diane lose their case.

Act five has Diane talking about her loss. She sometimes regrets not having kids. She talks to Barbara about this. Suddenly, Diane thinks about England about the case at hand bringing it to their authority (or authourity, possibly). Because of this, the judge says that Laura owns the egg and can use it herself.

Maia learns that there are new fake news stories about her based on other spreading what the original person said. Sadly, it looks like it will stay as Mike sees a story about it online. Meanwhile, Maia feels that she should let it go.

On the next episode of The Good Fight, the crazy lawyer that I like it coming back as Mike continues to cause problems for the firm in question. What does he want to do with Maia’s father? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

S1E3

I should be able to quickly tell you all of the other blogs that I have fairly soon into writing these new posts. I’ll tell you one in each new post until I’ve mentioned all of them. Now I plan on mentioning current events relating to politics in this blog. If you want to get a better scope of this, read my blog on Madam Secretary, which I have linked below. Since that show will be ending in its newest season, I’ll want to find a new place to put random political thoughts and this blog might be the best place for it. So I hope that you enjoy this blog.

One of the dumbest group of people in my mind are those who are against using vaccines. Until recently, I had no idea that religion was a reason used for why one shouldn’t get vaccinated. I only heard the widely debunked claim that they cause autism as the sole reason why one wouldn’t want it. Thankfully, people aren’t buying that claim, which is good as nothing bad happens from getting vaccines while so many bad things happen from not getting one.

I’m kind of addicted at times to reading Daily Kos, even though I know it is not the best source for information all the time due to unprofessional writing choices and a bias they seem to often have. Still, I like reading them. And one might not know some of what they report on without reading their articles. Here is a link to one about the problems Trump seems to have paying for his many rallies.

So many people who are either a supporter or detractor of Trump seem to think that it is possible that he can win reelection despite poor polling numbers. Now while I think that there are too many flaws in the way polling is done to the point in thinking that they are often unreliable. They can still offer proof that Trump is probably not going to be president after noon on January 20th 2021.

Act one starts with Maia talking to Jack right after where the last episode had left off. Jack tries to be pleasant while Maia clearly looks pissed. She seeks to leave as her mother chases after her. What’s going on? Why do the Kings have to write such confusing shows? I don’t get all of that.

We next see people treating an injured man somewhere foreign looking. A doctor is helping with this situation until he is arrested for some reason. Diane is back as her new firm and they are talking to each other about various things. Marissa then talks to an investigator who is now working for Diane. We learn about the doctor who was arrested for terrorism who must be a client of Diane’s.

Act two has Maia wanting to talk to her dad since she thinks that her uncle Jack and her mother set him up. But is this the case? Her lawyers demands to go with her to this visit. We see Diane talking to the doctor who was doing open heart surgery in Syria. His patient was a terrorist according to Lucca. Diane is overruled by her senior associate in what is believed to be a lesson in humility.

Adrian and Barbara talk to each other as he feels that she might be overstepping some of her bounds. While at trial, the lawyer talks about why the doctor shouldn’t be let out of prison yet. The judge lets the client free as she feels that too much drama has already gone on thus far.

Barbara and Adrian talk to some random man about something that I didn’t quite catch right now. He seems to be mean to them in some way. A man named Andrew is important in the case since he is a black man who ran a Trump pac. The doctor is still helping the patient through Skype, although he’s on the move since he feels that he is being watched and a group of people surround him before arresting him.

Act three has Maia talking with her father. It’s a bit strange since both of their lawyers are there in the room with them. Her mother visited him. She doesn’t know what to say about Jack as he ends the conversation here. He whispers something in her ear that neither of their lawyers like. I only get something about a computer in this brief whisper. Adrian talks about the fact that the Trump administration might be offended by their firm’s record of police brutality cases. He wants someone in the firm who had voted for Trump.

The case gets more heated, even though they don’t know whether or not this doctor was helping a known terrorist yet. This patient has four hours to live so the judge wants to solve this before 5:00. Marissa talks to Maia before looking for the new investigator. Adrian was able to find someone who voted for Trump in the firm, but I don’t catch who this guy is just yet.

Lucca talks to the opposing lawyer in the case over a meal that she takes from him. A witness is brought into the courtroom for Diane’s side mentions that he might be in danger of losing his license if he doesn’t continue to treat the case. A new witness is brought in that says that the patient is a member of ISIS. Only this person turns out to be a citizen of the United States, I think.

Act four has Maia talking with Jack slightly before 4:00 when Marissa might be there to show up. Her father blames him for the scam. Marissa talks to him over the phone while Maia looks up information on his computer. Jack is distracted for long enough to help Maia find info on the computer. Meanwhile at the trial, they learn that the man who is being treated was trying to get his terrorist brother to return home. Due to a Supreme Court case, the return ticket that he bought was considered aiding the man and the judge rules against releasing the doctor.

Act five has Marissa talking to the fighters over Skype when a man comes in and threatens to kill them if the patient dies. A bid is won by the firm, although I don’t get what exactly happened. Who is this supposed Trump voter? Lucca talks to the one lawyer again (I think that his name is Colin) at the same bar as earlier. They then pick out a lover for each other. While Lucca’s side won the case, a drone strike was made on the hospital based on delays in court that kills the main terrorist and his brother as well in addition to 32 other people.

On the next episode of The Good Fight, Lucca seems to have a relationship with Colin that probably shouldn’t be happening, the lawyers at Diane’s firm are served for some reason, and more things. Stay tuned for the answers to what happens in the next episode on Friday in this blog. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

S1E2

As with the previous episode, they are airing this episode on Father’s Day. Typically, I watch the movie Courageous on Father’s Day whenever I can. I can get annoyed that they would air new episodes of shows on certain event days (specifically Mother’s Day more than largely any others), but I don’t think that I care too much as my late dad wouldn’t really care what I was doing that day and I have no stepfather or father-in-law to spend time with on that day instead. There’s not much that I’m missing on TV as a result that I know of.

I was hoping that I could start posting an old season of Survivor on Sundays in a blog of mine. Only, I’m now using this blog to post on Sundays for the near future. At least this season won’t be lasting that long as it has only ten episodes. I realize that I do not have to post only one blog on one day, but I decided not to post more than one blog on one day of the week. Still, if you want to read my Survivor blog, here is a link to it right here.

Act one starts with Maia receiving a lot of threatening phone calls and she arrives at her first day for work at her new job. Adrian gives her a rundown of some of what is going on. She is kind of rushed into things. Diane still has more issues with the scam of the previous episode revealed. Lucca is told that she’s moving down the hall to a new office. Diane talks to a woman briefly when Adrian shows up and greets her at her new job. Barbra talks to Diane about what’s going on. Diane has issues with her old firm transferring stuff to this firm.

Adrian thinks that Diane needs about two weeks to adjust. Marissa shows up to where Diane is and drops stuff off. David left some items as a joke, it seems. Marissa wants to be hired as an assistant for at least one day, trying to convince Diane that she will not find a better one in the meantime. Maia shows up to an event and gets confused by some of what to do. Lucca notices that a lot of people have lined up to where Maia is and wants to help with her line.

Maia learns that a man wants to go to arbitration over what he feels is lost wages. She wants to help him and feels good that this is the first place that she has been to thus far where she wasn’t recognized for her relation to her evil father.

Act two has more of a case going on. Lenore, the mother of Maia, shows up. Diane gets outraged over what’s going on. Lenore feels that she’s innocent over what they are accused of. She wants Diane to help with her husband’s, Henry’s, case. Maia is brought into arbitration in a really cramped room. Lucca comes to observe. Maia wants to explain that his confession was made under duress. False imprisonment is the main issue that leads them to bringing the case to court.

Act three has Diane visiting Henry. He wonders if he should plead guilty. He claims that he didn’t do this crime. He thinks that Jack was behind this. His lawyer, Rupert, was told of this. She admits that she can’t be objective in this case. Lenore has breast cancer that is spreading and possibly deadly. Diane says that Maia should be careful about what to do with her family. The Freedman Method is brought up. What is that really? I guess that’s what people need to find out.

Lucca tells Maia that the case is being shut down, but still suggests that she goes through with learning this method. They both go to a seminar where they learn more of their methods. Lucca thinks that there is a class action lawsuit available since there are a lot of potential victims of this. Diane still looks for assistants even though it seems that Marissa thinks that she’s good for staying on. Retail workers are being brought in as falsely accused of stealing. Marissa tries to work her angles in order to help more with the case.

Adrian talks to people about an algorithm about their case and potential issues with the judge that they have to have to deal with. He wants to promote Maia to a better position with this case.

Act four has Adrian explaining to the judge that he needs to recues himself over the case since he lost money in the scam from earlier. Lucca wants to explain that there is a motion to dismiss and a new judge proceeds over this. This new judge, Charles, does not really seem to care much about what’s going on as he seems preoccupied with his sunglasses. Charles wonders why they kept the employee after he was known as a potential thief when firing made more sense.

Maia talks to Lenore more about what’s been going on in her life. Maia wasn’t sure that a cancer scare had gone on. I think that Maia was using the Freedman Method in order to determine as to whether or not Lenore was telling the truth. After a man is brought in the case, Maia brought up the fact that a blank CD lead to their client giving a false confession that was even banned in various jurisdictions.

Act five has the lawyer ready to wrangle and they have to decide whether or not they should settle the case in question. Frank, their client, says in court why he confessed to the crime that he didn’t do. Frank is drug through the mud based on another job that he left when he was accused of stealing from there. They lose the case as a result. Maia sees Lenore with her uncle Jack. Did they have sex? I guess that we might find out more of what just happened in the next episode.

On the next episode of The Good Fight, Maia thinks that her father might have been set up. Diane thinks that she is being treated a bit poorly. Maia meets with a man who is important in some way that we don’t know how just yet. I guess that we will find out some of what happens next later. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

S1E1

Well, I honestly feel a bit rushed by creating this blog as fast as it is happening now. I knew that I would want to create a blog about this TV show at some point in time, but thought that I would have to wait until I had the first season on DVD in order to see it. I still might want the DVDs of this show later, but I might not need them now that this show has started airing on CBS for free.

I realize that this blog might have some issues with other blogs of mine. For now, I do not see this as much of a problem, though. I’ll mention more of my other blogs throughout the early posts of this blog. For instance, I have a blog about The Good Wife that is still updated with what I call cast updates into what the people from the show are now doing after that show is over. Without that blog, I might not have any interest in creating this blog.

Something that I know might be an issue with them airing this show on TV instead of online is that they aired a lot of content like nudity and swearing and I, for one, will not mind if I miss a lot of the original edit. I don’t want to see nudity in movies most of the time as I want to maintain a certain sense of mystery about things until I am a married man. We’ll see if that ever happens or not.

My name is Adam Decker and I’m a blogger. You may know me from other blogs. If you know that I might like to talk about politics at times, it might be time for me to see a new place to put political stuff in. Well, I’m going to post a warning that I’ll be talking about political things occasionally in this blog. I might even do posts that are completely unrelated to this blog and are purely political in some way. Part of what I will be doing with political parts of posts is posting paragraphs in foreign languages at time. Here’s one to introduce the concept.

I will possibly try to get this show on DVD in the future. Whether or not I will get it remains to be seen. I don’t know if they’ll rerun the second season of this show at a later date like they did this first season. I would have bought the DVD of this, but I was not interested in getting this through CBS all access. Perhaps this is the main reason why they are airing all of the first season for free on DVD. I just hope that I do not miss any of this show when it airs as I might not get a second chance.

If they are airing a rerun of the first episode of this show again like I believe that they are, you should know that I have reviewed this before, but will again. If you want to read my first review of this episode, then here is a link of it from a previous blog post of mine. I was hoping that I would see more of this show and it looks like I will get my wish after all.

The only thing left to mention really before I get to the recap is that I’m wondering when I should post this blog. They are doubling up on episodes for the beginning of its airing on TV. But I will put the blog posts on Sundays and some Mondays for now. I will explain how this will affect other blogs later.

Act one starts with Diane watching the inauguration of Trump. A montage is shown of people in their lives such as a red headed woman we’ll find out is Maia. Diane is shown going to a place and checking it out. Maia finds out that she’s a lawyer. Diane wants to resign/retire from her job, wanting to finish out her last case with the team that she figures has too many heads at once. New credits are shown that seem quite different from the first time that this aired on TV a while ago. It turns out that there is a creator to this in addition to the Kings.

Act two has Maia wanting to stick together with a new person here. David Lee greets the new lawyers who are wanting jobs here at the new law firm. Maia doesn’t want to be given any special treatment at her new job. She winds up with a huge bit of flowers and Howard gets confused by her. Maia meets up with Diane. Diane is the godmother of Maia. She wants to pass the baton to her. Diane sees Lucca at the new place. They watch a video of a man, Toby, being beaten by police. Diane thinks that part of the beginning of this video is missing.

Diane wants to figure out a way to settle the case. Lucca thinks that she’s become a cynical person. Maia wonders if they are on the right side of the case. Diane wants to make sure that she knows what is happening with each case as she wasn’t always sure that she got the right details before. Lucca is convinced that Diane wants to end her career with a win which is why she’s trying hard. Diane, meanwhile, is at a retirement party. Maia is concerned that her father is acting odd. While working on the case, Maia realizes that a car might have recorded what was going on.

Maia gets a call from her girlfriend when her apartment is searched. She calls her dad about what is going on. Meanwhile, Diane gets an important call of her own. Maia gets to where her father is being arrested. Diane learns about Henry and learns that there is a scam going on, causing her to lose her retirement money.

Act three has more of the fallout from the case going on. Lucca is with a lover of hers watching the story unfold on the news. Henry, the father of Maia, is in deep water as Rupert, the family lawyer, comes over to talk more about what’s going on. But Maia has to leave with what’s going on. With the usual practice of scapegoating, Maia is blamed for what her father did. Diane looks more at her options about what to do going forward. Her retirement might have to be delayed. Who is this man that she is talking to? I forget.

Diane is told that she might need to finalize her divorce from her husband in order to protect her own finances. Diane then talks to her law firm about staying on, but they do not want to keep her around as they already made plans without her. She wants to take her clients with her, but they don’t know where she’d take them. Maia has a lawyer show up to protect her after she is minorly harassed in an elevator. Diane tries to find other work in the meantime at other places, but doesn’t seem to have much luck at first.

While wondering why she hasn’t found anyone, Diane is told that her connections to Henry and his schemes might be part of the reason why she hasn’t found any new work. She then meets up with her estranged husband, Kurt. Diane points out that Kurt had an affair which is part of the reason why they are separated. She says more of what her current problems are. She thinks that divorce is a better option than if he tried to stay with her with her current problems.

Act four has Maia talking with Diane for a bit. We get to more of the case next as Diane talks to the client in a wheelchair. She doesn’t want to do more right now. Lucca yells at a person after he yells at Maia. Lucca then offers Maia advice. Lucca explains that another person she knew went through a similar problem. Diane is given the car video that she was looking for. She watches it and sees the unprovoked attack by the police officers. Adrian, whoever that is, comes in and asks Diane about joining their firm. I think that he’s the man who was helping Lucca. Diane feels that she can’t help them with this case. But she does want to be a partner and likes his offer. He thinks that she can screw the people back who screwed her.

Act five has Adrian arguing with a woman named Barbra over him potentially giving Diane a potential job with him here. Lucca thinks that Diane should be brought in as a lawyer here. Maia tells her girlfriend to avoid looking online for things in order to say sane. Kurt doesn’t want a divorce from Diane. She doesn’t want her baby to grow up to be a cowboy. Diane leaves her old firm while finishing the case. It seems that Maia is fired from her job as a result of this case. Diane calls Adrian about hiring Maia since she found key evidence in the case. They talk later.

On the next episode of The Good Fight, has Lucca being moved down the hall and Marissa shows up. She’s the daughter of Eli. I think that others who might be part of the cast could be revealed soon. Now my blogs will be updated a lot over the next few days and the next update of this blog will be on Friday. I’m sorry that I can’t bring it here any time sooner. I need to write and get caught up on a lot. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
